The Oxford Comma.

This topic came up in my session this morning, and I found this cartoon to be a fun and easy way to explain the issue:the-oxford-comma_52c855ed979ed_w1500.jpg

  1. I like it. Illustrates the difference really nicely, and there are a few cartoon out there that illustrate other grammar and punctuation effects. One of my favorites is:
A woman without her man is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Identical wording. Polar opposite meanings. Slightly controversial statement either way, but all the more reason to get it right.
